Construction began in late March on Waterpointe, a Traditional Neighborhood Development, coming to Flowood, Ms. Located just behind Dogwood Festival Shopping Center, the neighborhood will cover 230 acres and be home to 560 residences, as well as 800,000 square feet of commercial space. The waterfront restaurant district will include two wharf-style dining options. Future amenities include a pool, walking paths, bike trails, parks, a town square and waterfront event area.
The neighborhood will generate an estimated economic impact of $250m in construction activity. This project will be built in collaboration with the team at Community Bank and will be home to their future headquarters.
